Welcome SakuraConners

Greetings to all.

Welcome to Lastwear, home of clothing for those who want the finest fashions of the future today. Thanks for checking out our website. This post should tell you a bit of what we're all about.

First, we sell clothes. Our clothes are as durable and full of awesome as we can possibly make them. Our Market page should be updated with stock within a week or so, once we've figured out what we've got leftover from the con. While only a few of our designs are currently in production, we have several more in the works that should be available in the coming weeks and months. To see a broader example of our work, check out our Deviant Art page.

Joggling

Is the sport of running while juggling. I think it's totally awesome. Check out the Joggler. The ultra marathon joggling record has just been broken.

New Version!

A new version of Dwarf Fortress has been released! Version 0.27.169.32a includes the third dimension!. Yes, now we can dig down!

A whole bunch of other new stuff too, I can't figure out how to do anything yet.

Huzzah! Less time for work, more frustration in keeping dwarves on task! I was really needing a way to get even fewer things done and I think now I've found it!

New hakama sewn up too, they've got bound bottoms, gonna wear them for my chef job.

Spring

Spring has arrived!

We're off to a great start here in the fields this year. The mayor pulled the lever to flood the fields on the first of Granite, and by the fifth the fields were dry and we were already at work setting up the farm plots.

We were able to overcome the stones in the doorways by having the doors removed, then reinstalled. When it came time to reinstall them, the dwarf doing the work would naturally move the stones and the doors could be shut and locked for the flood.

Siege

A vile force of darkness is upon us!

A goblin raiding party was spotted yesterday, and now we prepare for siege. Orders have been issued to raise the chasm bridge, and once someone gets around to doing it we'll be completely sealed off from the outer world.

Masterpieces

Two dwarves have created masterpieces and one, jeweler Urdim Eddimoral, has acheived legendary status for his opal idol menacing with spikes of red spinel and depicting the the recent rat battle entitled 'the untoward radiant grip'.

The other masterpiece, created by mason Odom Nilnefold, is a jet crown called "Weightrock", it depicts the journey of the migrants to reach our cavernhome. Unfortunately he made this masterpiece in a fit of possession and gains no legendary status from it.

Rats

A giant rat has sprung from ambush!

He crept out of the chasm in the mountain. Some of our newly built apartments were accidentaly sited on an unknown spur of the chasm and gave access to our living quarters to foul creatures.

First it killed and innocent cow. Then it crept into trapper Cerol Zasitlogem's room and slew him in his sleep.

From there the ravenous rodent made his way to one of the main corridors. The military was activated and recruit Cerol Ritholmelbil was the first the intercept the rat.

He was devoured.

Melancholy

One of the recruits was struck by melancholy recently. He was enraged about the long patrol hours and threw himself into the chasm.

Naturally this shook us all up a bit and sweeping changes were made to the armed forces.

Everyone was relieved of duty.

This of course meant that the crossbow squad reverted to their former status of trappers and went outside to find some game.

The game found them in the form of Ostarsid and Tislamrotik, two zombie elephants who didn't take kindly to being shot at.

Monkeys

While getting a drink at the outer river today one of the farmers saw a band of chimpanzees approaching and sounded the alarm. All hands have been ordered indoors and we prepare for monkey war.

Luckily our mechanics have nearly finished installing our entryway traps. There's more than fifty stonefall traps set. It won't stop a herd of elephants, but it should be sufficient for primates.

Fortunately the chimps just drank at the river then wandered off. No blood was shed and no dwarves died.

Migrants

Some migrants arrived today. This is the second batch we've gotten this year and it's only mid summer. Our population now nujmbers forty-four souls and we seem to be thriving. We can certainly use the extra hands, there's a lot of rock to be dug, and soon, a lot of melted to be made. We've found hematite, with which we can make iron. With iron, we can make steel.

And with steel we can unlock the power of magma.

Soon we shall enter the glass age. All of us in the cavern home await this day with anticipation.
